We are delighted to announce that the Margaret Hendry School Expansion (MHSE) project, in partnership with Washbox, has won the ‘Asia-Pacific Project Controls SUSTAINABILITY Project of the Year’ – sponsored by Prescience Technology.

Nadine O’Keeffe, Hindmarsh Project Director said, “We are very proud to be recognised for our approach to environmental build best practice measures at the MHSE, which was delivered for Major Projects Canbera on behalf of the ACT Education Directorate. The partnership with Washbox represents a significant part of our ‘better-than-business-as-usual’ strategy across the Safety, Quality and Environmental (SQE) initiatives we practise at Hindmarsh. Well done to the Hindmarsh Project Team, Washbox, our Delivery Partners, and Suppliers for this amazing outcome.”

Andrew Crimston, Founder and CEO GeoSentinel Washbox added, “This recognition underscores the positive impact that Washbox brings to construction sites contributing not only to project success but also to environmental sustainability. The early adoption of Washbox by Hindmarsh and our ongoing collaboration reflects a shared commitment to innovation and responsible site-based construction practices that are at the coal face of real liquid waste management – we look forward to more transformative projects together. Congratulations to the entire team for this well-deserved accolade!”

“Hindmarsh has a long-standing legacy of delivering research facilities in the ACT and SA and look forward in continuing this in NSW. This type of project is exactly the kind of opportunity which Hindmarsh relishes in delivering, and directly correlates with our company ethos ‘Creating the leading communities, sustainable buildings, learning hubs and social infrastructure for future generations’.

“I would like to thank the University and Turner & Townsend for giving us the opportunity and the Hindmarsh’s project team, our suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants for ‘hitting the ground running’ to ensure we can deliver this exciting research facility institute on time, in a safe manner.”
