Hindmarsh were proud to support Odyssey House NSW at their annual Business Women's Lunch hosted at the Ivy Ballroom.

The annual Business Women’s Lunch (BWL) presented by Odyssey House NSW (OHNSW) brings together a panel of highly accomplished women to share their personal journey of success, leadership, and resilience.

The Hindmarsh team were captivated by the panel, which included Dr Kerry Chant PSM, Sam Mostyn AO, Josephine Sukkar AM, and Jennifer Hewett adjudicating. The funds raised from the BWL, raffles and donations will be used to support the new Odyssey Family Recovery Centre.

The Odyssey Family Recovery Centre is one of just a few long-term Australian residential services that allow parents, both singles and couples, to undertake rehabilitation treatment while their children aged 0-12 years live with them in a safe learning environment that enables positive and lasting change. It means parents who are experiencing drug and alcohol dependence can get the treatment they need without worrying about finding a carer for their children before they start rehabilitation.

Thank you to everyone involved for an insightful, and humbling afternoon. #bwl2022 #OdysseyHouseNSW

STEPtember was also a great opportunity for us to come together as a workplace and engage in some friendly competition, whilst having the option to collectively raise funds for, or increase awareness of, the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

We were a great success in this regard also, raising an amazing $18,250.07 by Hindmarsh employees, these funds will go towards providing vital equipment, therapy and services to children and adults living with cerebral palsy.

The Top Fundraising Hindmarsh Team was also The Steps Pistols who raised $3,387! Congratulations to Dane Brown, Grant Bond, Domenic Staltari and James Allsopp.

This was our third year participating in STEPtember – a challenge to take a minimum of 10,000 steps a day for 30 days straight and an opportunity to be more active, create new habits and enjoy the camaraderie of a shared goal as part of a team. What a great third year we had…with 19 teams registering, 78 employees participating and 20,740,362 steps tracked in total by Hindmarsh!
