North Sydney Office Renovation

Recently the NSW Sydney team were delighted to settle into their new office space in North Sydney following design driven renovations.

Still located on Level 27, Northpoint Tower, North Sydney, the new and improved office features additional desk spaces, including expanded work zones for the Estimating and Work Win Teams, increased collaboration spaces, a larger kitchen and communal area for socialising, and a great view out over Sydney Harbour.

Rowan Hindmarsh, CEO said, “I am delighted by our continued growth and expansion in NSW. With these successes comes the need for a revitalised space for our exceptional construction and shared services teams. 2024 will see us continue to develop our diverse client portfolio through the delivery of highly technical projects across a wide variety of sectors.”

“I am proud of everything Hindmarsh has achieved since we expanded into NSW back in 2005. This year (2024) will see Hindmarsh celebrate our national 45th Anniversary, having been founded in Canberra, ACT back in 1979 by my father John Hindmarsh AM. Thank you to the project team who expertly designed, managed, and implemented the office expansion.”

To celebrate this milestone the Hindmarsh NSW Teams got together at the North Sydney office for food and drinks, and a big thank you to the renovation project leader Aivy Le.

ANU University House Roof Replacement

We are pleased to share some photos of the recently repaired Australian National University (ANU) University House roof.

University House was closed after severe damage in the hailstorm of January 2020. The roof repair has involved the replacement of 70,000 heritage matched roof tiles, and careful reproduction of the batten seam copper roof and associated copper guttering across the whole building. All works have been completed in close collaboration with the University’s consulting heritage architects.

Alex Morgan, Hindmarsh Project Manager said, “I am incredibly proud of the project team for the program works we have delivered to date. The scale of the damage, age of the building, and its commonwealth heritage listing required a substantial period of careful investigation, planning and materials negotiation before repair and improvement work could begin on this 1954 landmark. I would like to sincerely thank the ANU, faculty, students and the community for your patience and support during these works.”
