We are delighted to announce that the Lindfield Learning Village (LLV) project won the Master Builder Association (MBA) NSW award for Adaptive Re-Use: $20 Million & Over.

David Last, Hindmarsh State Manager – Construction NSW said, β€œThe MBA NSW award is an amazing outcome for the Hindmarsh project team, our exceptional project partners and SINSW. The original Lindfield UTS building received the Sulman Medal for architecture in 1978, and the campus received the RAIA Merit Award and a Royal Australian Horticultural Society Award for Bush Landscape Design in 1972. Hindmarsh is proud to continue this exceptional education facilities award winning legacy.”

About the project

The $70M LLV Adaptive Re-Use project involved major capital works to convert, reconfigure and refurbish the ex-Lindfield UTS site into a new K-12 School. With the challenges of heritage, flame zone construction measures, asbestos and program constraints, Hindmarsh carefully delivered the substantial upgrade – 31,000 sqm across seven (7) levels – with a focus on preserving the architectural heritage of the existing structure.
