Hindmarsh secure RNA Research and Pilot Manufacturing Facility, NSW

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the RNA Research and Pilot Manufacturing Facility Main Works package at Macquarie University.

David Last, State Manager – Construction NSW said, “The new RNA Research and Pilot Manufacturing Facility will be a groundbreaking facility enabling the research, development, and production of a broad spectrum of RNA technologies locally to treat a range of human and animal diseases, disorders, and infections. We are delighted to work with the Office of the Chief Scientist, RNA Australia and NSW Health Infrastructure to deliver this facility. Well done to everyone involved in securing this exceptional project.”

The new facility will conduct small-scale production of messenger RNA (mRNA), Plasmid DNA (pDNA) and lipid nanoparticles (LNP) encapsulation at a scale which will enable clinical trials of new therapeutics. Infections, cancer, genetic diseases, and many other health-related issues are potentially treatable with RNA technologies.
