ARC Bowden Residential, Bowden, SA

Hindmarsh has officially started construction on ARC Bowden, our fifth residential project in Bowden, South Australia.

“We are proud to continue to play our part in turning Bowden into what we believe is a flourishing and growing community. With a successful history in the area, including The Artisan (2018), The Bowery (2017), Nightingale (2022), and B Apartments (2017), ARC Bowden will continue our legacy and help shape the future of the Renewal SA precinct, providing key worker housing,” Rowan Hindmarsh, CEO said.

“This exceptional development comes as we celebrate our 45th Anniversary this year and will hold a special place in our legacy. Since starting operations in South Australia in 1982, we have stayed true to our vision of creating the leading communities, sustainable buildings, learning hubs and social infrastructure for future generations”, said Rowan.

ARC Bowden, developed and built by Hindmarsh, features a 11-storey residential tower, comprising 145 modern apartments. Residents of the tower will enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline, the picturesque Adelaide Hills and the coastline. The ground floor will be strategically activated with 4 boutique retail spaces, enhancing the overall liveability of the development and further enriching the existing vibrancy of the Bowden suburb. Committed to sustainability, ARC Bowden is targeting a minimum 5-Star Green Star rating, allowing residents to embrace an eco-friendly lifestyle appealing to the environmentally conscious generation.

“ARC Bowden represents a significant step forward as we continue to develop and build high-quality housing in South Australia while upholding our commitment to community, sustainability, and lasting impact. The Hindmarsh SA team are excited to be building another part of the long-term vision for Bowden”, said Morry Canala, Hindmarsh State Development Manager (SA).

Happenings at Hindmarsh: SA Subcontractors Day 2024

Yesterday, the Hindmarsh SA and Corporate Teams gathered with some of our valued subcontractors for 2024, to share our latest pipeline, and enjoy some incredible freshly cooked paella. Our highly valued contractors and staff enjoyed the fantastic weather on the rooftop terrace of 57 Wyatt Street, newly built by Hindmarsh.

Ben Tolley, Hindmarsh State Manager – SA said, “Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday on the rooftop. These events provide an important opportunity for the Hindmarsh teams to reconnect with our subcontractors outside of day-to-day operations. Hindmarsh has several interesting projects in the pipeline for South Australia, and discussing industry perspectives and our plans in an informal setting is always exciting.”

From everyone at Hindmarsh, thank you to everyone who joined us on the day, and all our subcontractors – without you we would not be able to deliver such outstanding projects for our client partners!

Roma Mitchell House Recladding project delivered by Hindmarsh

We are delighted to announce the completion of the complete asset protection (façade replacement) of Roma Mitchell House for Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT).

Roma Mitchell House is a prominent, multi-tenanted, commercial building. Hindmarsh worked in close collaboration with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, Consultant and Subcontract Teams to design the unique façade in keeping with the building’s legacy aesthetics.

The highly experienced Hindmarsh Recladding Team used a ‘Prefabricated Gantry’ solution from Queensland, which expedited installation to minimise disruption to the tenants, local traffic, and the community. This innovative solution enabled a more efficient installation of the mast climbers, thus allowing the teams to replace the complete façade of ACPs with new aluminium panels to provide a safe, new exterior for the building.

Nikki Naidu, Hindmarsh Project Manager said, “The majority of the project had to be completed after hours due to the busy nature of the ‘live’ site location. The Hindmarsh Project Team, as well as our partners, suppliers, and subcontractors, demonstrated adaptability and dedication, working collaboratively around those constraints to deliver a high-quality result for our client partners. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all their hard work, and the community for your patience and understanding during the construction phases.”
