Project Overview
This ‘A’ Grade commercial office building incorporated nine (9) levels of office accommodation, roof level plant room, ground floor cafe and five (5) levels of basement car parking for 60 vehicles. Most levels enjoy expansive views towards the Brindabella Mountains range and over the CBD. The Australian National University is located immediately adjacent. The property is a short walk from the main civic bus interchange, shopping centre and public parking.
A range of energy efficiency and sustainability features are incorporated into this 4.5 Star NABERS building including, soft-coat low E double glazed curtain wall façade, twin air cooled chillers with central plant, variable speed drive control throughout, extensive energy and water metering and reporting. The advanced remote monitored BMS system incorporates night purge, outside air cycle and C02 monitoring. To provide high-level security for all tenants, 5 Farrell Place incorporates an interfaced security systems including digital CCTV, electronic access control and entrance races to meet Commonwealth Government level security requirements. Hindmarsh also delivered the specialist 7,500 sqm fitout of the building for the Commonwealth Department of Environment and Water Resources.

The Hindmarsh Difference
Two key design elements for the fitout were that the fitout achieve an Australian Building Green Housing Rating (ABGR) Scheme of 4.5 stars and a Green Business Council of Australia (GBCA) Greenstar Office Design v2 rating of 4 Stars.
