25 Grenfell Street is a prominent, multi-tenanted office building located at the centre of Adelaide’s CBD.
Hindmarsh was engaged to replace the existing façade’s Aluminium Composite Panelling with a compliant panel solution, with the caveat that the new system does not alter the appearance of the building.
In addition to having significant local experience in complex façade projects, Hindmarsh is familiar with this building, having constructed the glass retail pods on the ground floor around 2005.
Hindmarsh, in collaboration with AsBuilt Digital are utilising their 3D Spatially Connected Database – VAULT technology and allocating QR codes for every replacement panel. This information is then built into a 3D Model of the building allowing key stakeholders to measure, track, record, and report progress accurately. This allows the client to monitor the status of the project in real-time through the VAULT portal.
Hindmarsh deliverd a detailed D&C system which achieved a fully compliant, certified, and verified outcome at a reasonable cost point, whilst providing a like-for-like, compliant replacement façade panel solution. The new system improved the thermal R-value of the façade through added insulation, and thermal bridging to improve overall building energy efficiency.
