The North Gungahlin High School (NGHS) project involves building a new facility featuring two main buildings, which neighbours the Margaret Hendry School to the East.
The new High School (7-10) and building infrastructure will provide learning facilities for 800 Long Term Enrolment (LTE) students and associated staff, including external learning environments.
The new school boasts a 250kW solar photovoltaic system and associated battery storage. Similar to Margaret Hendry, this array will be connected to the onsite Building Management System (BMS) to provide automated reports to meet the requirements of the Clean Energy Regulator.
