The Aunty Agnes Shea High School (named after the late senior Ngunnawal Elder) in the ACT is a new build education facility featuring two main buildings, which neighbours the Margaret Hendry School to the East.
The new High School (7-10) and building infrastructure will provide learning facilities for 800 Long Term Enrolment (LTE) students and associated staff, including external learning environments.
The new school boasts a 250kW solar photovoltaic system and associated battery storage. Similar to Margaret Hendry, this array will be connected to the onsite Building Management System (BMS) to provide automated reports to meet the requirements of the Clean Energy Regulator.
A total of 837 tonnes of CO2-e were eliminated in the binder formulation processes - with an overall reduction in cement consumption of 31%.
