Macquarie University, in collaboration with its partner, the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research, a distinguished organisation specialising in respiratory and sleep health, entrusted Hindmarsh with the responsibility of delivering a comprehensive refurbishment project.
The project involved the refurbishment of the existing building at Macquarie University’s Wallumattagal Campus, along with new construction elements, all within a compressed delivery program.
The North building has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment, excluding certain shell space locations on levels 3 and 1. Upgrades to level 3 of the North Building saw the demolition of the existing office layout to facilitate the creation of a PC2 Wet Lab, with new rooftop plant installed in the Northern Wing to support the requirements of the new PC2 Wet Lab.
