We are pleased to announce that the Hindmarsh NSW Sutherland Hospital team has completed six (6) new Operating Theatres; Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD); MRI and engineering plant area and refurbishment works to Level 2 RADIUS Department (Rapid Assessment, Diagnosis, and Intervention Unit Sutherland), as part of Milestone One works for the Sutherland Hospital Operating Theatre Upgrade project.
The project team is now focused on delivering Milestone Two which involves the refurbishment of Level 3 (existing theatre area), including:
- The Perioperative Services Suite;
- Operating Theatres (2);
- Procedure Rooms (2);
- Recovery Areas;
- Office Spaces; and
- Staff Amenities.
When asked about the project, Reinald (Reg) Struwig – Hindmarsh Project Manager said “Through an excellent team effort and collaborative approach with Health Infrastructure, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District and the hospital, Hindmarsh has successfully achieved milestone one completion of the Operating Theatres, MRI, Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD) and refurbishment of RADIUS Department. Hindmarsh and the team are enormously proud of what we are delivering for the Sutherland Hospital.”
