The National Capital Private Hospital is co-located with The Canberra Hospital on Garran Campus, but operates as a separate private hospital to the public hospital. This project involved the construction of a new $25M six level extension over an existing car park with further refurbishments in the existing private hospital building.

The new building contains:
- operating theatres,
- intensive care unit,
- coronary care unit,
- chemotherapy,
- potential for a future MRI suite
- and a range of associated acute care services as well medical consulting suites.
