Project Overview
The Artisan is a seven-storey residential building comprising 50 apartments of one, two, and, three-bedroom compositions, two levels of basement car parking, and, a private communal courtyard located on the corner of the leafy Kevin Taylor Park and a short walk from the town square. The Artisan was the first certified 5 Star Green Star Design As-Built rated apartment project in the RenewalSA Bowden Precinct.
Environmentally sustainable design principles were embedded in the overall design with innovations extending into the structure itself, such as Bubble Deck structural floor slabs; which are not only structurally lightweight but also feature an architecturally desirable finish.
Internally, the Artisan was designed to bring light into the open-plan living and bedroom spaces. Individual apartments feature full height glazing and balconies which function as outdoor rooms. The semi-naturally ventilated basement parking frees up and enhances the public realm by allowing activation of the ground plane enhancing Bowden’s community atmosphere.
