Hindmarsh are proud supporters of MATES in Construction!

Recently the Hindmarsh SA teams took part in MATES Connector Training in the Adelaide office.

This insightful 4-hour session on suicide identification and intervention equips workers to be Connectors – a MATE who can keep you safe while connecting you to the help you need.

With Safe TALK embedded in the training, an internationally recognised suicide prevention program, Connectors are empowered to step up and support those who need it. By becoming Connectors, the Hindmarsh South Australia team have reinforced their dedication to creating a safer, more supportive workplace for all. Well done, and thank you to everyone who took part!

Preventing suicide is everyone’s responsibility. If you or a mate need support, the MATES Helpline is available 24/7 at 1300 642 111

Marigal Gardens Retirement Village Apartments

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the first two apartment buildings at our Marigal Gardens retirement village. The first residents have moved in and are settling into their new homes.

James Lightbody, Development Manager, shared, “This achievement marks another significant step forward in our commitment to delivering high-quality living spaces designed to meet the evolving needs of our retirement community.”

Colin Clarke, General Manager, Retirement, added, “Throughout the project, we’ve regularly engaged and consulted with new and existing residents, reflecting our dedication to including everyone as we expand the village and reinforce those community values that define us. The meticulous planning, collaboration, and dedication of our Hindmarsh Construction, Development and Retirement teams have truly brought this vision to life.”

With the final two buildings set for completion in November, we are focused on more than just creating homes; we are delivering a lifestyle, and building communities that prioritise well-being, connection, and a sense of belonging for our residents.

The Australian War Memorial switches on its world-class sustainable green energy project in a purpose-built Central Energy Plant (CEP).

Recently, The Australian War Memorial switched on its world-class sustainable green energy project in a purpose-built Central Energy Plant (CEP).

Delivered by Hindmarsh, the CEP is designed to provide sustainable heating and cooling across the Memorial’s buildings and exhibitions for the next 80 years. The system uses the ground’s thermal mass and relatively consistent underground temperature throughout the year to provide heating and cooling instead of using natural gas-fired boilers and chillers.

Interesting fact: This CEP is the largest closed loop Geothermal Heat Exchange system in Australia.
