New Year, New Starters Onboarded.

The first onboarding session of 2024 took place this week. 33 newcomers from across NSW, QLD, SA, and ACT convened in North Sydney, NSW to hear about everything Hindmarsh.

Welcomed by Rowan Hindmarsh, CEO, the group had the opportunity to learn the history of Hindmarsh, our values, best practice operational processes and future plans.

Rowan Hindmarsh, CEO said, “I relish the opportunity to welcome and meet all new starters. Our employees are the life blood of Hindmarsh – without everyone’s hard work and dedication we would not be able to continue to grow in our strategically chosen sectors.

I would like to thank all the Hindmarsh departmental key speakers. Each person donates their time to provide engaging workshops across subjects including, Safety, Quality, People & Culture, Our Vision & Values, and much more. I firmly believe the Hindmarsh Induction program is exceptional and provides an invaluable networking opportunity. Well done to everyone involved in making these sessions a success.”

Hindmarsh attend Findon Technical College Grand Opening

We are delighted to announce that the Findon Technical College has officially opened its doors to students and staff in South Australia.

Formally opened by Premier Peter Malinauskas, Findon Technical College will provide skills training to hundreds of young South Australians in collaboration with key industry partners, including BAE Systems Australia, Liebherr, Axiom Precision Manufacturing, Helping Hand Aged Care, Southern Cross Care, Goodstart Early Learning and Precious Cargo.

Ben Groves, Hindmarsh Senior Project Manager said “I am very proud of the team and the exceptional project they have delivered. The final build quality is testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of the project team, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and the representatives from the State Government involved.”

Findon Technical College has been designed to ensure hands-on, project-based learning for year 10 to 12 students that is valued by industry. State-of-the-art technology is built into the fabric of the college, including a robot called Pepper, an industrial collaborate robot (COBOT), a welding workshop, specialised acoustic padded pods for audio opportunities, and a large LED videowall for immersive experiences.

More than 230 students have enrolled with Findon Technical College for 2024, to complete their SACE and start a career in some of South Australia’s fastest growing industries including, advanced manufacturing and engineering, early childhood and education and health and social support.
