Hindmarsh is an active supporter of the arts in Australia providing corporate sponsorship and donations to a wide range of cultural institutions including the National Gallery of Australia.


As Chairman of the National Gallery of Australia Foundation and member of its governing council, John Hindmarsh has been strongly committed to the Gallery's role in the cultural life of the nation.

Hindmarsh has also provided ongoing sponsorship and support to the Canberra Glassworks, the Canberra Theatre and Canberra Museum and Art Gallery, as well as the Bell Shakespeare Company.

As a company, Hindmarsh believes that involvement and participation in the cultural life of Australia is meaningful and values the arts as a reflection of the nation's achievements and ambitions.
 

Canberra Theatre Centre, ACT


Hindmarsh became a principal sponsor of the Canberra Theatre Centre in 2014 with a three year commitment to help kick-start the Centre’s vocational education and training program.

According to Hindmarsh CEO, Rowan Hindmarsh, the company’s commitment to be Principal Sponsor of The Canberra Theatre Centre reinforced its support for the development of the arts and cultural events throughout Australia.

“Our sponsorship commitment to the Canberra Theatre Centre reinforces our commitment to leave a positive legacy for the performing arts fraternity and the broader ACT community,” Rowan said.


Canberra Glassworks, ACT

Hindmarsh commenced supporting Canberra Glassworks in 2015 as Major Partner of the Hindmarsh Prize,  an annual art prize which recognizes and promotes excellence and appreciation of the world-class artists working in glass who live and practice in the ACT and region.
